    You should check page 36 of the 2022 tundra owner's manual. It clearly shows that an airbag will deploy (on t-Bone hits) from the outside of the seat backs forward. it protects the torso. If there is a seat cover pulled over the vertical portion of the seat back, that bag may be stopped. I suggest talking with a specialist on this question. My .02 cents.

    A lot of seat covers including the ones i have, have slits along the outside edge of the front seats for this specific reason.

    Yeppers... that it should. But there are a few out there that won't. I didn't know about the seat-deployed air bags when I bought my seat covers. Well, at least they weren't all that expensive. (Back to the drawing board.)
