Want to protect my seats and wondering what others are using. Is it worth spending the $200 on some or just get some nicer universal covers? 16 doublecab with the floor shifter

I spent more than I wanted to on the carhartt branded covercraft covers for my wife's car a couple years ago but looking back now it was totally worth it! They fit pretty well over the crap universal ones and are tough. Dog nails, dog hair, food, passengers, kids, random stuff thrown around in there and the seats look like new underneath! Just pull the covers off to machine wash occasionally and try again.

For my work truck the seats already worn but I threw the universal weathertech bucket seat protector on it to keep it a little nicer. The fit was of course universal with extra tying needed around the seat bottom and some loose areas still. Its a lot less coverage, dirt can sneak behind the back panel, but the material is tough and it was much cheaper.

Find the seat cover part number you want and watch ebay, covercraft sells open box items there, 3 pairs I've gotten were all brand new.
