I stick to CarGurus generally. Within 50 miles, there are only 8 new Tundras for sale. I see one Limited CM for $55k. Oof.

If I expand to 150 mi, I can find a couple Limited CM w/ OR package for just under 46k, it they’re in a different state.

How far did you travel to buy your truck? If you bought out of state, was it a pain at all? You don’t have to pay taxes twice, do you?

    Forgive my ignorance.

    Music City/Nashville?

Check Craigslist and Cars.com and Autotrader in the following states: NC SC and Florida. SOMETIMES Atlanta will have deals.

My parents live in Nashville and have purchased vehicles from FL and AL at 1/2 the cost compared to Nashville

I am in GA and have purchased 4 vehicles from FL all cheaper than the Atlanta area.

I paid tax at my local tag office,I didn’t pay taxes twice

My parents paid tax at the tag office when they registered theirs in TN from out of stare

A round trip plane ticket is cheap insurance, when compared to the vehicle savings

My experience only applies to USED vehicles though. I’ve never purchased new

I bought mine in state, but took a one way 35 minute plane ride, a one hour bus trip to the dealership and a 6.5 hour drive home in the same day.

couldn’t find what I was looking for anywhere near home, so I expanded my search and it took a few weeks, but found what I wanted for a decent price. This was a few years ago.
