On my 2014 Tundra I bought used it came with a system in it so I pulled back seats out and it has a sealed box with 2 10" Rockford's R2 and a Massive N2 amp...head unit is stock entune non jbl tweets on dash tweets rear door and stock speakers all doors...my question is what's better sounding a sealed box or a ported box I am new to audio system world

Better resonance, deeper dynamic. You should reach out to tacotune.com. They specialize in Toyota sound system.

Mine is sealed. I'm not sure which is better. I see the comment above saying always ported, but from what I read and what the guy that built mine told me too, is that a ported box gives a more boomy muddy bass and the sealed gives a tight clear bass.

If the sealed was active subwoofer with passive radiator, then it can sound better. But ported with good amp and eq in my humble 15 years of AV experience is always better than sealed...

I have two 10" shallows mounted in my tundra in a Fox acoustics slotted ported box and they sound amazing! They hit the really deep notes with no issues or distortion and I can be heard blocks away. I had the exact same subs in a sealed box in my Tacoma and they were OK sounding... maybe be able to hear me half a block away. Ported is better... most of the time. Really depends on your setup and what you listen to.
