My buddy wired the drop release to a remote switch (key fob) in his Tacoma.

I would rather see the tits in your location. CA has some nice ones. One of the few things I miss about living in CA.

I sure don't, but may have access to the one I shot. A little pricy to shoot...but worth it.

I was looking at one to buy, but I may get a Gen 4 G19 for carry duty. My 1911 is getting heavy these days. These days I am trying to be practical with weapon systems. The 5.7 does not fall into that category.

    Verrrrry worth it I bet.

I feel ya on the practical statement. My XDS 45 is quite a bit easier than my Commander model 1911.

Wish they would have had the XDS series out then I was buying XD pistols like crazy. Great guns. In fact, I traded my 1911 Kimber TLE/RL for a XD .40 with night sights (new).

Damn, idk if I could ever trade off a 1911. Too in love with 'em. If you ever think about getting another CCP, I highly recommend the XDS. It shoots a hell of a lot better than a 3.3" .45 has a right to.

Ah, it was a Kimber. That POS wouldn't run ammo at all. I could never trust it for anything more than a safe queen. Weird, since my brother & Dad have the Kimber Custom .45 without an issue ever. Now these are older Kimbers. I sent that gun back to Kimber 4 times. I guess the FTF was all in my head. I was more than happy to get rid of it. Only ammo I could run was premium ammo. Even then, every other mag had a FTF.

One of my life long friends turned me on to the Desert Eagle 1911. He is an avid shooter (hell, he works at a gun range and quit his engineering job) and said this had one of the nicest triggers and good accuracy for a pistol under 700.00. Needs different sights though.

I've always wondered about the DE 1911's, never seen ran into anyone that actually had one though.
On a different note, your buddy has one hell of a good gig! Would love to to own my own public gun range someday.

He just works at Magnum in the Springs. I couldn't imagine how much that cost to build. He may just move back to our home state of MT and never leave again. Lol.

I was a little skeptical at first. I did the YouTube thing, the website thing, and eventually just took someone's advice that has a metric buttload of shooting experience over me....and by God he was right. There is an aluminum frame 3" compact 45 that Magnum Research sells that is pretty light for CC....FYI.

My G19 was my all time fave carry gun, but lately it's been my G23.
With shorts, I usually carry my KAHR CW9.

I had a G23c, and I just didn't shoot it well. A single stack is my best bet until the Gen 4 pistols came out. I need to go rent one and put some lead down range. Wouldn't mind checking some others out as well in the G spot lineup. The XDS is a good recommendation as well.

Your Kahr is a perfect shorts weapon. Have a few buddies with them.

Now you know why I have a stock truck now. Lol

Or a Tuesday. I actually had to do something today. Bummer.

Cool thing about yesterday was the wind was so gusty, the targets would come flying at you. Good practice.
