It's a 3 hour drive south but well worth it. Used to be part of Malcolm Forbes' Wagon Creek Ranch. He split off 55000 acres back in the 70's. Hardly any of it is developed. The few people there live off the grid, Private access only. (Sangre De Cristo Ranches). A slice of heaven for sure.

On the brighter side, there is a bill that was recently introduced to get rid of the tax stamp requirement for supressors.
However, it's always a lot easier for Uncle Sam to take money out of our pockets, than for us to take it out of his so I doubt it will pass :(

Picked up this RCBS single stage range press today at Bass Pro. (I prefer single stage over multi stage anyways):

From what one of the local sheriffs told me, you can still carry even with the GFZ sign.

Anybody have an XDS 45? Thinking that's what's next on the wish list, since my 1911 is a lil big to conceal.

It's def going to be lighter. But, you're not going to like the trigger if you're a die hard 1911 guy.

I have always had good luck with Springfield. Good luck!

The Aurora theater has a metal scanner you walk thru. They will kick you out if you are packin. They want to make sure only the wackos with AR's can get inside the "you are an easy target" zone.

Well, I'll make sure I never go to that one. I can think of better ways to die than defenseless in a movie theater.

I love the trigger on my 1911, but I'm used to double action triggers from a few years with a Glock.

Most theaters here in Aurora and Denver prevent CC inside. Only for bad guys looking for the gun free zones.

When I took my son to see Star Wars at the Aurora Cinemark there were to APD leos outside, three more hanging out by concession area (figures) and two more upstairs. While we were waiting for our screen room to open I started a conversation with a Sgt. "No gun free zone tonite! Where you guys when I saw Spectre?" He just laughed.

Count me in the HK crew (VP9). Had a Colt 1911 but sold it to help fund my boat and ended up picking this up a few months back.

New addition, bought my first 10/22 in 1970. This is my #4, first stainless :

    CAM00549.jpg

Disclaimer: The pictured magazines above, (2X25 rounds, and 1X30 rounds ) were purchased before last year here in CO. Last year in CO, all magazines are limited to 15 rounds max, yes , I know, even 22 rifles are included. In the mean time, non law abiding gang bangers and other various criminals, are laughing, while they bypass the new back ground checks imposed by ?? I will leave it there. We are in a PC correct world after all. (Whats cool is , it's hard to find Ruger 10/22's other than the wood stock versions here in CO. Got lucky and found this version at Sports Authority.)

Bought a black on black XDS. Magnificent gun, and very easy and comfortable to carry in my Galco holster. Plus it shoots like a dream with 165 grain Hydroshok HP's.

    Looking for opinions/thoughts on a Remmington 700 ADL (in.308)?

    Anyone ever owned one?

Does it have a decent bolt (relatively low price point ~360 plus tax) compared to say the Savage Axis

Went to the range today and tried out some new Federal 22 ammo in my new 10/22. 300+ rounds , no jams, mis fires, etc. Bore/action was relatively clean afterwards:

The ADL has a great action/ barrel. I own a 30-06 Axis and it has the Accu Trugger. Not sure if the ADL has an adjustable trigger. Can't go wrong with either for the price point.

I HATE giving a good cleaning to my .22 rifle. It's a pita to clean in comparison to a pistol or shotgun.

Even though my 10/22 was new you would think after a 325 brick it would be pretty dirty. 10/22 is definitely a PITA to clean. Ran the cotton thru it once. Good enough for now. heh heh.

My dad tried to clean one of our Ruger MKIII's tonight, and it's been an absolute PITA as well.

Eh I would never kill someone for trespassing into my vehicle ...as much as pro firearm as I am, it's against state (CO) law and you better be able to articulate the reasoning for deadly
    Force.

Now, an armed car jacking...that's a different story if you were in true fear
For your life and you can justify doing so.
