You can't have too many! how do you like the sites? I've got the stock sites on my 19 and have been thinking about getting a set.

My 19 has green in the rear, and orange in the front, I believe. This one is all green...I would like to set it up similar to my 19. Just seems easier for me to focus between the sites this way.

I like the concept of that setup.

I no longer have the .38, .243 (Old Savage lever) , .308 (Old Savage lever). The 7X57 Mauser was my dad's. Never owned a .223. Reloaded for friends. Don't particularly care for the .223 after using it in the Marines. Especially when the enemy has AK's. The 7mm Rem, 7mm-08 Rem dies were for friends too. I do own a 1976 S&W model 39 in 9mm that I bought new. (Still looks kind of new. Don't shoot it much. Target practice only.) I forgot that I used to own a Charter Arms Bull Dog 44 with 2" barrel. Kicked way too much though very deadly at close range. Very big hole = dead perp. My 45-70 is a keeper along with the Marlin 444. I do want a 1911 Kimber. The Custom Crimson Carry II is pricey. I'll go for a lower cost model. Going to be my personal 60th birthday present to me this coming Dec. heh heh

No, that would be the model 111. Accu trigger is very nifty. I'm going to have the trigger in my new Axis upgraded and have a flash suppressor put on for the fun of it.

Where do you want to carry? Ankle, inside the waist, hip outside the waist, deep conceal?

Inside waist preferably but outside would be fine. I just don't like the one that came with my XD. Just wondering if any brand was significantly better.

I have a kydex one for outside wear. They are good because if you ever get a new gun and want to use the same holster, you can just out it in the oven for a few min and re-mold it to your gun. Only bad part is that if you're really concerned about the finish on the gun. It can wear it out more than a leather one will.

My typical conceal carry weapon is a light subcompact .380 and I went with a simple, small, Galco Stow-N-Go inside the waistband holster. My local gun shop had it in stock so I bought it to hold me over until I could pick out and order a nicer one, but I am happy with it, so I didn't order anything else. I would probably go with a better holster with two belt clips if I had a bigger/heavier pistol like the XD.

For my subcompact Glock, which is probably comparable to your XD, I go with Fobus paddle holster. It it outside the waist but still conceals well. I also have a BlackHawk Serpa for my compact Glock, but it doesn't sit as close to my body as the Fobus, so I don't use it as much.
Both the Fobus and the Galco are about as slim and bare bones as they come, and I like that.

I've got the XD .40 4". Since it's not a compact the IW might not be too practical but I like the idea for better concealment. I've been seeing some holsters with the two belt clips that I like, as you've also recommended . I appreciate everyone's feedback. I've been finding a lot of nice holsters that I wouldn't have found on my own.

This is what I use as my concealed carry too and I love it! When it's in the truck I use a 15 round magazine... did you get the 9mm or the .40?

Great choice. I'm in the market for a 42. I feel very comfortable with Glocks.

I own 5 acres full of pinion pines, deer/elk/puma, you name it, at 8300 ft near Ft Garland (San Luis Valley) with two reservoirs nearby , 14teener. mts, and Great Sand Dune Nat'l Park a 1/2 hour away, not to mention the tons of places to go out of Denver to hit the Rockies.
