Where do you guys get the promo codes? 2 of codes in the original post worked for me

 

One of the prior posts had a link that shows current codes. That's what I used.

Anyone know if the dollars expire on a certain date or can you keep accumulating dollars before cashing out?

 

I kept accumulating til I reached 60 then I cashed out. I don’t like to keep too much in there just in case it goes away for some reason or the app crashed or whatever

 

I've tried all the codes listed on the reddit page and moneyninja but they all say code cannot be applied. Right now I'm maxed out at $.30 per gallon. First time I used the app it gave me like $.65 per gallon. Now its less than half that and no way to get back to that amount.
Costco gives me 4% cashback, and a lower starting price per gallon, so at this point its not even worth it unless they come out with some new codes that actually work.
Since we can't share personal codes on this thread, is there any reason we can't PM codes to each other?

 

The Costco credit card 4% cash back works on other gas stations, not just Costco ones. But I agree with you. Typically I would fill up at Costco since the price is significantly lower but the GetUpside does bring down the local station's price for me. It's 2.99 at Costco and $2.90 with GetUpside at BP. I'm just going to use up all the codes and then cash out and go from there.

 

After a few weeks it appears the money is made/saved with referrals. Unless new discount codes come out. I'm down to less than $ 0.15/ gallon savings. But hey its 15 cents per gallon.

 

I only have one referral and I can usually find a gas station with 15-20 cents off in my area. I use it for grocery stores too. Having said that I wouldn't mind seeing more chest codes come out thats for sure

I downloaded the app. There are two gas stations (one with good gas and a decent rebate, the other is pretty low quality), one restaurant, and no grocery stores in my area. I'll try it when I'm away from home to see if there are more participating locations.

 

You can move the map and a search this area button will show up.

 

Helps with those gas guzzling road trips too! Planning for a MO to FL trip in a few weeks. Might use a few gallons.

 

Does anyone know if I needed to do anything different on my fill-up? So I was really low on fuel and used the app which directed me to Circle K for $0.42 per gallon savings on premium. I claimed the offer, checked in, pumped my gas and the pump stopped at the limit of $75. I still needed more, so I did another transaction for $36.03. Will I automatically get credit for both gas transactions? How does that work when you claim the offer, but run the pump two times?

 

I believe every transaction charged,you need to activate individually

It sucks, but you only get credit for one transaction, the one you upload the receipt for. If it's a blue label station, I think you only get credit for the first transaction after you claim it.

 

I tried the app, but dumped it. I bought gas, uploaded the receipt before I left the parking lot, and received a notice a few days later that I didn't get the rebate since I'd waited too long to upload the receipt.They claimed there was a 24 hour gap and after a couple of back and forths in email I decided that it's not worth the hassle. I don't have the time or the inclination to argue every receipt for a tiny rebate.

 

After you complete the first one, you have to go in and claim offer and check in again for the second transaction.

 

Thanks guys for the quick responses. Sounds like I'll only be getting the savings from the first transaction since I didn't claim the offer again before the 2nd one. I'll post up if it turns out differently in a couple days once it hits.

I've never had to upload a receipt?...I added my debit card to the app (just partial numbers it asks for) and then you don't have to upload any receipts. Might be worthwhile to do that instead of dealing with the receipts.

 

Some stations don't require the receipts. I'll have to see about adding my card so I don't have to upload receipts at other stations. I have to fill up tomorrow. I'll check then.

 

Interesting. I didn't know the need for a receipt was dependent upon the station. I've only used the app twice so far and it was at the same station both times.

 

If you see a blue lightning badge next to the gas station's name, then no uploading of a receipt is necessary. However, you do need to click on the Check In button.

 

Has anyone seen any new discount codes lately?

Just updating with confirmation that I only received the credit for the initial transaction where the pump shut off at $75. The second transaction for another 10 gallons or so didn't provide anything.

 

I love pumping $100 worth of gas, getting 3/4 tank... but getting 7.5% back on my purchase. 3 fillups, I got a $25 gift card for my other bad habit besides driving, Google Play

 

Next time, try paying inside, to cover the entire amount in 1 transaction.

Some businesses have granted getupside to have access to their systems so they can determine if a purchase has been made. Some do not go that route at which point getupside requires a receipt

 

Been loving this thing. Saving money left and right. Need some new codes though.

 

Yeah, I'm down to 8 cents a gallon for the discount. I need to recruit some more or find some codes!

I did take advantage of a Shell Fuel Rewards special yesterday and got 75 cents/gallon off. 8 cents rebate on top of that got my price down to about $2.10/gal for yesterday's fillup.
