Sounds way better than what I did on my last swap. I bought the PS-grade extra-reinforced AN hose from Summit and the stainless AN fittings and made my own. Cost me a fortune to go ~24".

Fred Rogers was no normal man.

Ever since it was pointed out that @bmf4069 looks like Harlan Williams, I constantly picture him in a suit on a ramp screaming at Tom Green to, "Stop saying fruits!!"

I had to take the truck today. I couldn't fit my toolbelt in my backpack to take the Aprilia. He rode fine, and only wandered on the highway due to the 25 mph winds. Good lord this truck isn't even remotely the same. So, so, so much better. Much tighter. I dropped it off at firestone for an alignment. $200 for a lifetime alignment. Snapped a quick pic at work:

Big, big, props to the TX boys for this. It never would've happened without y'all.

How often did you have to refill the PS fluid?

I haven't had to yet. I'm gonna check it when I get it back from alignment. I just got my temporary work truck today so I think I'm gonna leave my truck up here at the school until the PS hoses come in and let the students(under the instructors watchful eye) change them out. That way I won't have to drive it and get PS fluid everywhere.

It looks so good now with the lift and bigger tires.
I may have missed it, but did you post a list of everything replaced and installed? Did you end up replacing basically all the front suspension even ball joints and lower control arms?

    I don't guess I did.

    Freedom UCA
    Moog LCA
    OEM LBJs
    Toytec coilovers
    FVP extended travel CV axles
    Detroit axle steering rack
    Detroit axle tie rod ends
    Moog steering rack bushing
    Moog Sway bar links
    ECGS bushing and seals
    Spicer carrier bearing
    General Spring leaf pack
    Toytec rear shocks
Beck & Arnley brake shoes(fuck these shoes)
Changed front and rear diff juice
    Changed oil
    Bled the brakes
    Removed rear hitch
Took a shot for my spare tire that's old enough to drink

I think that's about it. I still have more to do, but that's laters problem.

Edit: we also swapped Alcans into Bob's truck, and cleaned mine and fives Tailgate handles.

it was pretty impressive how well everyone got along, and how (relatively) smooth the work flow was. Nobody even fought over tools.

I went to firestone after work today to get my toolbelt out of my truck. They had it done and I guess forgot to call me, so I'm leaving it there overnight again till I can can get it back to the school. They said these were the best they could get:

    20220407_175247.jpg

They said it had to do with the droop in the UCA. So here's what I'm thinking:

Put in the AAL and raise my front end another inch or so to reduce the droop and get everything level. I just don't want the ride to get rough by maxing out the lift.

Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen caster that low for our trucks. I’m surprised it wasn’t vibrating on the way there unless you drove at a low speed.

I was doing about 80 or so. This truck has vibrated since I've owned it so it may have been shaking.

    Freedoms.

1 degree of caster is awfully low unless freedom doesn’t offset the upper ball joint like camburg
