My wife and I are now in San Diego for 2-3 months since our little one decided to make an appearance 10 weeks early. He is doing well at Rady Children's Hospital, but we are running into an issue with breast milk storage.
My wife is a pumping champ and has filled up our allocated freezer space at 2 hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House said I cannot buy or have a deep freezer anywhere within the RMH campus. Overnight shipping a cooler box with dry ice every week to Texas is going to get very expensive. We have been calling storage units in the area, but they do not have small units available and if they do have one available the unit does not have an electrical outlet.
Anyone know of somewhere I can store a small 5-7 cu.ft. deep freezer for 2-3 months or know of less expensive ways to ship frozen breast milk?

You can store it at my house. We remember the deep freezer days and are happy to support! I'll PM you you so you'll know how far we are from the hospital and you can decide if this'll work for you.

Easy enough to do this. What I hope I did not do is pre-empt an offer from someone closer to the hospital :notsure:. We're about 25 minutes out. If there's anyone closer, please don't be put off offering because I did. I definitely want whatever's easiest for the OP.

Why does this site have such good people? Is it because only good people buy Tundras?

My first car was a Toyota and I’ve come full circle from all other brands. I can honestly say I think that most people that own Toyota or Tundras are in a whole different mindset. They call to a certain type of person and it seems that many are really good people in general.

I'm thinking... there's good, community-minded people everywhere, including other vehicle forums. I think the reason we have it good, and get involved outside of just truck mod stuff, is because the forum moderators have set up standards that make it cool to share personal stuff and get to know each other, and not cool to post judgy or mean stuff in response to sharing. I appreciate it.
