    Just reading through the thread here about eibach coils on non-stock shocks... did you ever figure out the 3.5 ID cap issue? I'm looking at doing the same thing with either Eibach 700# 16" with 3.0 ID coils or the Kings variant (16" 3.0 ID 700#)... but I'd run into the same issue that you did. Any fix? the coils won't fit onto the cap regardless of them being slightly smaller?

    Just thought Of this if the coils hit on the metal raised lip on the bottom of the coil; then what about trimming it? I’m just assuming that’s where they’d hit, but if not then please let me mnow

    The top ID of the spring is to small to fit the tophat . So cannot reinstall the coilover... if you could fid a tophat that fits the Tundra and the smaller ID you would be good to go...

    So that being said, just to clarify- if that round circular ring on the coil side of the top hat was not present the smaller ID wouldn’t contact on anything else? (Pics attached)

    That is my thought as well but you really dont want metal on metal up there. I thought about trimming the rubber lip off but my installer/ experienced suspension friend said no don't do it.

    Yeah if I were to do it I’d cut the metal lip off and remake that rubber “bushing” so it covered all the metal spots
