I am interested to see how far you will get with this. Prior to buying my Tundra (July '24 build), I owned a '23 GMC Canyon Denali that was a nightmare. Engine was strong and ran great. That was the best part of the vehicle. The worst part was the infotainment system which took a crap on a regular basis. Then the extreme freeway wind noise coming from the windshield and rubber padding flapping in the wind under the hood, etc. Dealer wouldn't help at all. They said they couldn't recreate the problems, which I believe was a total cop out. The final straw was I was on the freeway at 2:30am and the infotainment system completely shut down my lights & instrument cluster, but the engine stayed on. I was able to maneuver off the freeway without further incident. That was it, I got rid of it to save myself. From what I have seen lately, is all the new trucks are having issues which each manufacturer appears to be denying as much as possible and/or purposely slowing down the process to address the issues down to a snails pace. Even telling people (as with Toyota) that any after market upgrades automatically void your warranty in violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. I guess Toyota believes their lawyers will outlast your complaints. Customer relations has taken a big hit and growing, but they may be just too big to care anymore. Not the old Toyota I once knew.

My 2023 capstone with 18 k miles blew last November.

engine was assembled with all new parts and turbos.

    build date is Nov 2022.

    2 month process.

filed a lemon law claim and Toyota is buying it back.

hybrids clearly have the same issue.

also verified my replacement build has the updated block part number.

    I’m gonna buy a 2025
