Sounds like you still tow with your truck and this bumper? What are you pulling and how has it been for you?

 

Only pulled our travel trailer once with the new bumper and no issues. It’s a 30’ 5.5k lbs keystone bullet.

 

Adam, you planning to have your Brazilian butt lift done before Parker?

 

Hoping to get it done the weekend before - but I’m 99% sure I won’t make the event this year.

Might need to do an SOB front first…

 

Have some friends help - we had 4 of us - probably could manage with 3 but having a guy lift each side while someone lines up the mounting holes and gets bolts started requires the most manpower.

Be careful of the wiring harnesses towards the back and cutting around the tailgate strut. Not much room but we got it done.

 

Might as well go LT while you’re taking stuff off and putting stuff on. Your shocks are due for a rebuild soon if I’m not mistaken

One more suggestion I forgot - you can see more immediately under the tailgate with the new bumper - we hit that area with black steel-it after cutting and before putting the bumper on to have it match the new bumper.

We opened 3 - have about half a can left. We sprayed some in a plastic cup and brushed it on the cut sheet metal to protect it.

 

Hey guys, I’ve made some updates to the truck and have towed quite a bit with it. The bumper is still holding just as strong as the day I bought it!

 

I didn't even know SOB bumpers were a thing. About two years ago I was looking for a high clearance bumper and only came across Trail Toys. Prices are about the same but its good to see other competators out there.
