Found what I think is a good deal and setup for backup power to the house during winter, as well as a single gen when camping if needed, as well as power to run a PA for my church. Thoughts? Seem to be just as quiet and just as “good” as Honda’s at half the price. The Bluetooth monitoring is a nice added bonus I think. Anyone have these and or wants to provide opinions, the more the merrier!

I love my Ryobi. I own the same one you posted. The Bluetooth is amazing, especially in cold weather camping you don’t have to go outside to turn it off. It tells you load and gas level from the couch. It’s also quiet because it’s an inverted generator. Also, it’s easy to move around.

Edit: I just saw the price and that’s way too much. I paid around 650 for one generator. So 1300 for two.

Looked at these and the closest Costco to me is 1.5hrs away and while their return policy is good, Home Depot is 10 min from me and these have a 3 year warranty so....it’s a Toss up to me

Looked into that or even the Generac 8000 watt EFI....but having 2 smaller and easier to move gens I think will be better for me than one big one. I’ll use just 1 more often than both together.

That price is for 2 generators and the parallel kit is free and it’s $100 less than just 2 without it, from what I can see

What I’m saying is when I bought mine from homedepot it was way cheaper. Not sure why but Maybe it will go on sale for Fourth of July or something.

One from HD is $650 so I would assume this is for 2 with the parallel kit

For house backup, decide what all you want to run. You can only push 3600w through 30A. So I went with a 50A. Might not need all the power, but better to have it I figured. I got a duromax 12k dual fuel from Lowe’s for $899. The portability of those is nice though. Mine weighs almost 200 lbs.

For house my needs are pretty simple, wouldn’t be running anything that is 220. My furnace is gas and the ignitor and blower are 110, and my water heater is also gas with a digital controller. Looking to keep the house warm, fridge running, and some lights on in winter should the power go out.

I went the less expensive route with a Predator inverter generator from Harbor Freight and have had nothing but good to say about it. We use it for dry camping with our travel trailer and run it to death non stop quite often. Happy with my savings!

I bought this same package when it was on sale last year at their July 4th sale. I use them to power my camper and and run the AC when we camp in the mountains. The bluetooth works great to monitor the load and gas levels. I have no regrets and would buy them again.

I bought the Ryobi 2300 watt 3 years ago and love it. It does however need to be started every few months or it starts kinda hard.
