Living in the northeast and seeing the bed of my '04 F150 rotting away (substantially), I was determined to get some type of rust protection on my new Tundra. What are peoples experiences and opinions with rust protection/undercoating? I saw that some dealerships used Zeibart others had an electrical option. I ended up going with Zeibart (bought the truck yesterday somewhat unexpectedly so had to make a quick decision) with rust protect/undercoat, paint protect, interior protect, glass "additive".

    +1 on fluid film.

Not from the north but can definitely see how much this stuff would help!

I had Krown applied to my 16 Platinum, my brother has been having it applied to his cars for a few years now. He said he see's very little rust on the frame, and they say you will never have to replace a brake line due to rust. It cost me $140 at a local shop, it gets a complete job, under the truck, in the doors, bed, rocker panels, etc. They have a warranty if you have it applied annually which is what I plan on doing.

A local body shop owner did some testing with Krown vs Fluid Film, he said the Krown creeps better than Fluid Film, due to the Krown having a lower viscosity. This means it will get in the tight seams better than Fluid Film.

Take a look at Waxoyl I know some of the 4runner guys have talked about it as well as the FJ guys. I think that is the route I am going to go. Just another option.
