    Exactly. My sarcasm can run deep at times. Safe t cap definitely has its place, but if someone is trying to patch multiple areas of a rusted out frame, i see it the same as doing a skin graft onto gangrene.

    Why not just look for a good frame? Or a new one if they are available?

    I haven't been able to find many that are rust free in my area, or they don't want to sell just the frame. I also figure many small components are not far behind rusting out. The bed has some serious rust too, though the bed would be easy enough to patch. So even if I do use just the frame I will probably end up buying a whole truck.

    I also found a new listing for an 05, looks to be in much nicer condition paint wise and also has the camper shell. I will probably ditch the 02 idea and pursue this 05
