    I decided to try these.

At $255 they are a fraction of the cost of some of the others. They appear to be well constructed. Aluminum boards with 3/16" thick steel brackets. They bolt right up to existing holes provided by Toyota. They support my 300 pounds very well.
Time will tell regarding how well the finish holds up. For the price, I thought they were worth a shot, and I am happy with them.
