And just as an addendum to the above, @au.ramsey

Ideally, you want to cross-tighten. I'm that anal-retentive mofo that'll get all the nuts to flush with the u-bolt shafts (or to some arbitrary thread count showing if long as hell), then go criss-cross 1-4-3-2 for 8 half turns, 6 half turns, 4 half turns, then 2 half turns and usually I'm in the ballpark by then, starting to snug up.

It's probably overkill, and I dunno if anyone actually follows it, but given that lower plate is supposed to share the load across both sides, it's the safe thing to logically do and it's what I've been doing the last 35-40 years of my life on every truck I've touched.

EDIT: Actually, I feel better, the "HINT" from the FSM page @assassin10000 posted suggests doing the same. Maybe I'm not so OCD after all.

you kicked in my OCD. Tomorrow morning, I’m gonna go out and loosen them and then re-snug them to 98 foot pounds

I did alternate, and I may not go to that extreme if they all are the same length below the nut

Just know u-bolts can stretch with proper torquing (and def with overtorquing), so ...

Just count the threads on both sides and if you're within a thread or two, don't sweat it.

now after watching a video on replacing the ball joints and the front shocks/coil overs, could’ve done this myself as well
