So I'm taking an exit on the highway and it's a long u-turn type exit ...so I take it doing about 40mph and my traction control starts to beep so I'm guessing it's my tires rubbing because I have taken that exit every day never had issue until I bought this tires 2 days ago.....or what do you guys think?

Could you feel it rubbing or hear it? The TRD package comes standard with that size tire. It shouldn't be a problem unless maybe you have 4X2. Did you mean 275/70r18?

Not sure how traction control and rubbing are related? 275 65r18 is stock size, are you on stock wheels? Tires broken in yet? Still on the slippery release agent coat of new tires causing slip And activating your VSA?

The backspacing might not be set up correctly for that size tire. Might need to invest in some wheel spacers

Sidewall on different tires stick out more but not by much. Maybe try to recreate it again and see what happens.

I had the same happen on my truck same route I take everyday same tires combo. Only did it once. I guess I took the turn a little bit faster that time than usual. Doubt it's the tires.

also could be the new tires having less traction since they are brand new. still oily from the factory. AT2 are known for that. Need to put at least 1,000 miles to clean that up.

It may be worth double checking the tire pressure as well. The tire place may have overinflated them to seat the bead and forgot to drop the pressure down to normal.

Black Rhino wheels max offset is +18 I believe. What Rhinos do you have and what’s the offset? I had Black Rhino Overlands with a 2 inch lift and was rubbing like crazy.

I love Black Rhino wheels, but they seem to have low offset. Every truck is slightly different. Perhaps your truck's wheels poke out more than the average.

I have 2 sets of wheels: stock alloys with blizzak 275-65-18 and Worx Sentry with 275-65-18 Firestone Destination AT.

The destination AT is taller side by side compared to the blizzaks (I can do a true side by side when I change over for the season). The wheels are the same width. So yes, tires can vary in height despite the same size even when brand new and set at same inflation. Also, the Worx wheels are +18 offset and sits out more past the fenders compared to the stock alloys. This combination of offset and slightly taller tire rubbed against the little aero flap in front of my front tires while the wheels were turned full lock (especially when reversing out of the driveway or parking spot). I had to remove those flaps.

That looks like a 12 offset, it sticks out slightly more than my 18 offset. Doesn’t look like it should be rubbing on anything. Probably just a new tire slipping on a wet surface or a painted line on the road. I can tell you that painted lines are pretty slippery up here in the north during the winter. Sometimes, when I mash the peddle in 2wd at a stop light, I can trigger the traction control. Usually when it’s a bit icy on the roads. Painted lines seem to be just a bit slicker. But it looks warm where you are. Could just be the newness of the tires.
