I think it looks real good!
Did you install it yourself, and did you get any of the accessories with it? did you buy it direct, or find a local dealer?

Thanks. I put it together myself with just the help of bungee cords. You’ll need a torque wrench that’s capable of 5-10 ft lbs. I did not purchase any accessories but will be buying the table only. I have a decked on the way and don’t need any of the storage options or the kitchen. I tried to buy the table and cap together but stupidly the website won’t let you and I’m guessing that’s because they’re shipped separately.

It was shipped free to a local place and I picked it up. Shipping was quick. 270 lbs total so I took it out of my truck piece by piece. You’ll need at least three but ideally four people to help you lift it onto the truck. Design and features are top notch. Two things wasn’t happy about - 3rd brake light cable was missing (waiting on response from RSI) and there were some bent attachment points. I contacted RSI and sent pictures. Their customer service folks were very prompt and told me how to fix (hammered it back out with rubber mallet against 2x4) and that it wouldn’t affect the integrity of the cap at all. Three year warranty would cover anyway but I definitely did not want to send it back. Pics below

Do you think those bends were shipping related?

Hard to say but with the paint looking pristine, I doubt it. They just had me send photos to ensure that it wasn’t going to degrade the integrity of the cap and they quickly said it’s not an issue but for some reason it there were problems in the future they’d replace. I saved the emails too just in case. I was able to easily straighten it and the seal looks 100% to me. Biggest thing is that you don’t disturb the foam seal on the front and back pieces. Both the bends were on side panel attachment points which luckily do not have the foam attached.

Any thoughts on how your cap is handling the cold wet PNW? Wondering how insulated and water tight these are.

I have been intrigued by these but the hangup to me is the price and honestly the fit doesn’t look that great. Interested to see what y’all that have them think as far as overall finish and leaks, etc.?

Just installed mine over the weekend on my second Gen. love it so far and looking forward to throwing a RTT on some time this spring. Still trying to figure out how to wire the brake light though.

I like how big the doors are on these, can anyone take a picture of the top?

When installed is the cap higher than the cab in any way? It might just be the angle of the pictures but it looks like it adds some height to the truck.

How is the visibility out the back window from the drivers seat? Curious if your rearview mirror is still usable.

Can you unlatch the rear window from the inside if you were to use this for truck camping?

You might've just sold me on one of these, looks fantastic on a double cab!

Can you lock the rear window open? like for when you're hauling lumber or other longer items that would stick above the tailgate?

Love the cap and the FJ. I traded my 14 FJ in for my 21 Tundra.

Can anyone measure what the interior height is from the top of bedrail cap to bottom of interior ceiling (lowest crossmember)? I'm trying to determine how much interior height will be left after I add a Decked system.

Does anyone own one of these in cold states? I really like the idea of the RSI, but with the way the locks are I'm concerned about them freezing up during Alaska's winters. We had a Leer on our Tacoma before we upgraded and never had any issues with it.

    Thanks

4.88 Nitro Gears. King coil overs and rears with remote resi and a pedal commander throttle control. AFE cold air intake. RSI Smartcap and GFC supernate 50.

I live in Minnesota. It all depends on how moist your air is. If you’re coastal Alaska, the latches might stick. I mostly only have trouble sticking after a car wash but haven’t had too much of an issue with my latches. Definitely recommend it though.

We just assembled one over the weekend for my stepdad's truck. I'm shocked by the pricing, and that they couldn't come up with a better clip design for the front and rear windows to mount to the roof than that 4 piece screw clip. Everything is packed with assembly in mind though, and the thing seems pretty tough now that it's on the truck. Some potential for leaks from the d-seal they provide though. Basically no proper way to close the tailgate with the d-seal in place, maybe we should have used the foam spacer on the bed rail though.

But seriously, the 4 piece fastener design has scarred me. It wasn't anything a rubber mallet and rocking half the assembly back and forth couldn't fix I guess, but the instruction's "pro-tip" of "you might need to wiggle the assembly to get the corner fasteners to seat" was the understatement of the century.

Just found this cap, am considering it for my truck. Looks like a great cap, but also considering a Leer painted to match.

@6V7 Tundra - What steps did you install?

Working with a local dealer, I have a deposit on an allocated 2021 Tundra CrewMax in VooDoo Blue. Hoping they made the change order request in time to change to Army Green. Thinking I might cancel the black tube step order in favor of the steps you have on your truck.

Why not? The cap brings everything I want to the table. Easy open side windows with a small vent, high load carrying capability, strong solid build, and unique.

I'm saving my pennies for it. but I am also admittedly at the same time saving for new rims and tires for my Bullitt, and new tires for my Tundra.

    Priorities.. priorities..

That definitely is unique, and probably a high quality build but seems a bit silly and unnecessary in my opinion I prefer the stock bed cap.

Leaving the factory spare on there is just... so... not right. I cant even look at the bed because I'm just thinking, "Where was the art director who didn't know enough about trucks to take that off?"

Working in brand and creative really is a curse sometimes.

I went with the go rhino RB20 in the regular finish. $450.00 directly from go rhino. Local dealer wanted $900.00 for the same step! Install took 30 minutes max
