    Hey folks,

I found a 2002 Access Cab that has the RS3000 system still in it at our local DIY parts yard.

I am wondering if it would be worth the effort to pull the RS3000 System from it and install in my 2000 Access cab.

If so, what parts do I need to make sure to pull from the truck?

If not, would you recommend something else?

Did anyone ever have an answer to this??

I found out today that I don't have the system after I already ordered new key fobs and tried to program them.

I really doubt it would be worth the effort. I had a Viper remote start put in for $300 OTD with a lifetime warranty. I have the RS3000 system in my truck and I don’t use it anymore since the viper.

I’m not sure how easy/hard it would be to hook up the RS3000 but I can’t imagine it was a great system to begin with. My concern was range and the viper has a 1/4 mile range for the cheapie one or if you you want to spend more, you can get a one mile range.
