Rounded flare nut advice

    Finally got around to replacing the fuel filter. Happy to report that the Irwin 7-inch locking wrench took the stripped flare nut off lickety-split! I suspect that are just a bit better at not tearing up the nut further than regular vise grips, but ?????

    I guess it had been replaced at some point because the old one had "Made in China" proudly displayed on it. Need one was Denso....

    To for stuck flare nuts I use a pb blaster, a punch and hammer. Hit it with blaster let it sit. Use the punch to tap it off center in the direction you want to go. Tap it a few times and see if your wrench works. Repeat until you run out of patience and grab channel locks.

    The taping helps free it's up but don't expect to see it move. This method works well for most stuck/rusted bolts too.
