I am guessing you can’t attach mudflaps with these on right?

…at least not without some drilling and such…though the question is if you even still need them.

Regarding the drilling, I think some trims (not mine) do not come with any flares and may need to drill?

Anyway, I am sold. Looks good against white and my factory flares are flat black anyway. And cheap. I put a lot of money into suspension and tires, so it will feel like a win to buy this.

3” lift kit, 35’s, WW flares, tonneau etc.
The screws will tear up any paint or sealant you put on the holes before installing them.
Maybe put some paint or other rubberized sealant on the screw threads after initial fitting?

My flares and any other flares I’ve installed used the factory holes. Youch, that sounds scary. BUT, debur the hole with a deburring tool, brush rust reformer on the hole, and then cover your threads with some Teflon tape maybe. I aren’t an expurt, just has ideas.

no, you remove them in the first step of install. The bottom of them sticks out quite a bit. I’d imagine with a +18 offset wheel, these would be flush. I wish.

AH, yea that is fair. But even so, the flares from rough country, I’d imagine all have the same install, which is inside the fender well and not on the body. I get what you are saying though. I get some older trucks in the shop with flares and the trim is hanging off or bolts are missing. Questionable installs.

I am also curious about your wheel specs. From what I can tell my set up would be nearly flush with the sport flares, but it looks like you still have a bit of poke (which is the look I would prefer). Thanks!

"0" offset as per post #25 Other info from WrapCO's signature is 35 x 12.5 x 17. Those probably poke about 2" so the flares are doing a good job to cover most or all of it. These will certainly help to keep the front tire spray/splatter off the sides of the truck.

I was convinced to color match them.

I still get a bit of splatter :(. But I don’t know that I care!

Usually not a fan of fender flares like this but those are super clean! Do they just pop into the existing holes?

Yea I usually am not either. You’re in CO aren’t you? Seen you on ig and probably other places. You know how shitty our roads are 99% of the time. Especially the vail valley.

They use the bolts inside the fender liner on the existing fender flare, but they are actually just sitting over the top of the OEM. I’d say the biggest drawback is that they will vibrate and move around, so over time, there is always a line on the paint you can see if you were to ever remove them. Now that they’re on, I don’t think I ever will.

Yep I'm in Denver. Roads are horrible man and I have a decent amount of poke with my +0 wheels on beadlocks lol Not sure these would eliminate the problem completely but could help!

Here I am. 0 offset, definitely helps, doesn’t eliminate. Gives the truck a wider look without going full on new fiberglass fenders. I’ll take it.

Not to mention at a fraction of the cost of a widebody kit. Unfortunately doesn't help clear bigger tires but I'm definitely looking at these!

These plus mudflaps should deflect the majority of spray and rocks, looking forward to getting a set this spring sometime.... quotes to color match them are coming in at $800!!!

Here you go. Super easy to install. It goes over the OEM flares

Until I read these 2 carefully I didn’t realize that the OEM flares are still under there

…I previously thought those OEMs got removed and replaced by these for some reason (not resting over).

I might have to think about them some more…love the look and options but concerned a bit on your statement of possible vibrations and a visible line (maybe some separation over time?)

No seperation. It’s essentially the same that that happens to any OEM body part the sits on top of another for an extended period of time. Over time, those parts rub back and forth and wear the surface it’s resting on. On an OEM part, you’re typically never going to remove the part causing the issue. With fender flares, I feel like I’m never going to remove them, so it works for me.

I’ve ran the same style flares but from Bushwacker on my 14, 16 and 19 tundras. The 16 had lines worn through the paint, 14 zero issues and the 19 I sold the truck with them on it.
