Why spend $3000 for 6" lift for gravel roads and puddles?

    Purely for looks I guess?

I've been selling and installing Rough Country for the last 3 years at my shop. We have had zero issues or returns from anything Rough Country related. They are right on par with ReadyLift, Pro Comp, BDS/Zone(same company). The only difference with them from the others, is you can buy their bottom of the line 6" or upgrade to their full suspension kits without spacers. Its all in how much you're willing to spend. The problem is, people want to compare their entry level kit, to a full coilover leafpack replacementet kit, then talk about how much better the latter is. We have had the most issues out of Readylift kits TBH... But y'all dont want to hear that on here. Just my personal, real world experience.

I started with Readylift's spacers then replaced with coil overs when I could.

Good feedback. My boy who works at RC now said RL was starting to get more into churning and burning their parts out and less about R&D. Glad I took advantage of their kit when it was decent.

Find a shop that will install RC then. I'm in York PA, we can do the install if you're local. I can even sell you the kit and drop ship to wherever you live, if that shop can do the install, but I wouldnt advise having them install anything on my rig with that kind of business attitude.

One of those threads is from back in the day, and only a couple post... people break axles in stock trucks all the time. Again he has 3k to spend on a lift... that gets him the pick of the litter for that money. It’s a Toyota, any lift kit installed properly will be ok for most of our use.

This shop owner I met really did have a bad attitude. He took my number as if he would get back to me with a suggestion. Of course he has not gotten back to me so far. I agree I will be looking at other shops! Thanks for your advice. Looking forward this experience and you guys are helping that for sure.

Agreed, that's why I qualified my post with "In the end though, it is your truck and your money. Do what makes you happy!"

I did our truck... It all went well, I'm getting some surface rust through where the welds are. If I could stop that, our BMC would be perfect.

One guy on here told me when I was looking for a kit said a bolt on is a bolt on. If you have the money to get shocks in the front beside spacers do that. Also it’s all about how the kit is installed. So check around and see who does a lot of Tundra lifts in your area or call the Toyota dealership near you and see who does the kits on there trucks. Tires and offsets of the rims help with a rough ride just my penny thoughts. Good luck

Has anyone lifted there tundra with the 6 inch rough country lift and installed the fox 7” 2.5 coil overs and 2.0. If so how did it work. I read someone’s comment back in 2018 and apparently they did this.

Was your readylift a 6inch kit and if so how would the 7 inch fox 2.5 coil overs fit

Did it raise your front end higher then the rear or can you adjust them for a even level

I've got the procomp 6inch stage 1. Has OEM spring/shock + spacer. I'm thinking of upgrading to the RC extended spring/shock. Anyone with experience with that? How's ride quality?
