Im in a process of getting a roof rack, but was wondering has anybody had them for years? Do they rust, any maintenance? Do your truck top rust from drillings? Please give me your thoughts and experience.

I've had mine on for two winters now, no rust. I drilled a total of 12 holes, (6 on each side) and the Backbone is rock solid.
You can see it in my avatar pic.
