How do you ladies route your roof lights wiring, through the roof? Pix please. I'm thinking of using aerospace MIL-Spec connectors.

Most people either drill a hole in the roof or run it up the windshield and stuff it in the gap

I think @SiberianTundra installed roof clearance lights so he can probably help with some ideas

Yes as iHacker mentioned. They work great. No issues after about 1 year use. Many car washes and trips to mountains through the snow. No problems at all.

Hey Franco, I used a ScanStrut multi pass for ours. 3 big wires. I used the same on Scott’s truck. They’re used on boats so it’s 100% waterproof. Ours has been up there for three years now I think.

click my signature to get to our build thread, and in the table of contents look for Tomar lightbar install or something like that.

Not with this bar in particular. I’ve hear others that do, but this company did wind tunnel testing.

I'm not lady and dont have roof lights, but for solar panels I went through the rubber grommet in the cabin floor then up between the bed and cab. I wouldn't want to risk a leak or rust by drilling the roof unless there was no other option

It’s definitely scary, but we have fourteen holes in our roof now. So far so good.

Hahaha! We decided the day we bought the truck that we were gonna use it and enjoy it from the beginning. We try to be nice, but shit happens in the name of fun. This was the day after the new paint job cured.

We didn’t mean to tear it up quite so much the first day, but the trail was way overgrown. All nine or so trucks that day came out the same. LoL

You have accesories physically mounted up there so not really a way around it. I just think for a simple wire run, why not save the trouble of drilling holes and go through the floor grommet.
