I don’t really want a complete roof rack, but do need an option for mounting my ARB awning to the roof of my 3rd gen crewmax tundra.
Any suggestions with pictures would be appreciated

Well it needs to be either bolted to a roof rack or through bolted to the roof. I don't see how this would be possible without a rack? Because I'm sure you don't want to through bolt the rack through the roof of your truck.

I guess more clearly would be I don’t want to spend $800-1200 dollars for something like a Prinsu to mount my $200 awning.

There’s no cheap solution. I spent > $400 for Inno bars to mount my awning. There aren’t any cheaper options that did not require drilling into my cab. For the 3rd gen, I think you have a few more removable bar options.

Yeah, need a footpack and crossbars.

Check Etrailer for options. Maybe Malone makes a set for Tundra. I was going to do a roof rack but ended with a redcap and crossbars built in.

Some rack shops specialize in used racks, so picking up something like towers and cross bars might actually not be too expensive. Here's one I've used in the past: https://www.rerack.com/
