Just saw that on Two Guys Garage this morning on tv. No rodent problems where I live fortunately.

There is 100 acres behind me so "Culling the Herd" might be a little tough.

They used to wrap wires in a petroleum based plastic wrap. Now they use a corn based plastic. I work on outside equipment, never had this problem before the corn crap. They literally wrap the wires in food. Seems like everything today is built to fail

I have a 17 Elite with the 9 speed. Only problem we've had is dirt getting into the push button shift selector. Car would shift into gear and drive, but the computer never registered the button being pressed so the collision systems thought it was in park still. When you'd drive, the collision systems freaked the frick out.

As to what the other gentleman said, it does shift hard. I do NOT like the 9 speed transmission. By the time you hit 30MPH it's already shifted 3 or 4 times. It's geared so low I have a hard time finding the right amount of throttle. I usually end up taking off like a bat out of hell and shaking everyone in the car, or going annoyingly slow as to not jostle everyone. The harder you take off, the smoother the shifts are, though.

Nope. Pretty much all vehicle wiring is still soy based.

So i just fixed mine yesterday. Took about 2.5 hours since i work slow. The damn rat had burrowed in from the front and back of the manifold! All this work for one tiny little wire that he chewed off right at the sensor connector! No splicing possible.
These harnesses are backordered so I snagged the last one rock auto had available. The job wasn’t overly hard. The worst part is the main wiring harness is clipped to the rear of the manifold, very little room to reach back there. Definitely don’t pay 300 in labor if you have even the slightest bit of confidence with tools.

I did learn something interesting. There was so much damn motor oil in the pcv lines i will definitely be adding an oil catch can!
