Hey everyone I’m new to the Tundra fam, I just bought a 2013 TRD Rock Warrior. Does anyone know what makes it a rock warrior beside the TRD suspension and stickers. I heard it has an upgraded transmission for heavier towing, payload is 2,000 lbs, towing is 10,400 lbs.if anyone has details I’d love to read them, thanks again and I’m looking forward to posting more stuff.

I believe the RW’s have a one piece above the bumper thingy, forget what it’s called. Paging @csuviper.

17” wheels, color matched bumpers, and TRD shift knob.
The tow and suspension package is the same as the TRD editions. It doesn’t have a heavier transmission; it has a transmission cooler as standard TRD package.

I was told that the stock coil springs are a bit heavier... This is why the aftermarket manufacturers say on the *NOTES section,"DOES NOT FIT ROCK WARRIOR or TRD PRO

From what I can tell it has color matched bumpers.

So is a rock warrior any different from a standard tundra except for the wheels and fluff? Is there any true reason that some leveling kits and shocks won’t fit a rock warrior that would fit a standard tundra?or are the manufacturers just not sure of mfg specs?

So with the Rock Warrior wheels do the bead locks have to come off before mounting new tires?

The wheels have a +50 off set as opposed to the more common +60. Other than that I think suspension wise everything is interchangeable.

So when looking for Mods and accessories, what Options do we (Rock Warrior owners) choose? SR5? Limited? Base? Looking at maybe a radio w/ touch screen.

I went to a Toyota dealership and he looked my Rock Warrior up by the VIN and said it’s basically and SR5 with a few extra things so he said just choice SR5 if asked for it.

I’ve also heard that the RWs sit maybe an inch higher than other packages, so a 3/1 kit might not really produce 3/1 results. Any truth to this?

I can’t wait to put a 3/1 on mine, and when I do, I’ll post the before and after measurements.

Not to high jack the thread, but what leveling kit do you recommend for the Rock Warrior? Readylift, Supreme Suspension, Suspension Connection etc...?
    TIA!
