Look at this low mileage beauty for sale here in FL. Something about these 2nd gens that gets me… maybe it’s the attention to detail (that they seemed to cut a few corners on for the 2.5 gen). Whatever it is, this thing has me drooling.

Nice truck, but boy that is a lot of Benjamins for a 2013. These prices the past year have been insane.

 

Yeah they’re asking more for that than than my 18 is worth lol. I mean I know it’s a Rock Warrior, but sheesh!

 

It says purchase pending when you pull it up. That is insane money for a truck that age. Not sure why people are paying it's, even as nice as RWs look.

It’s already sold. $37K for a 2013 ( even with low miles ) is insane. As soon as this chip shortage is fixed, that truck will plummet in value. I doubt a bank would finance that amount for a truck that old.

 

What's you guess on the value after the shortage? Do you think it will be mid 20's?

 

Probably mid to high 20’s, but it also depends on the area. Hopefully the chip shortage won’t last as long as some are saying.

 

Here is my 2012 Tundra TRD R/W on 35" Toyo Open Country A/TIII with Fuel Cover 18" wheels on 2.5" Ready Lift leveling kit. Morimoto LED Headlights and fog lights, GoRhino Raptor running boards, Dasaita 10" head unit with Apple car play, TRD Cold Air intake, 2.5 Gen skid plate.

 

I'm digging that head unit, does it retain all of the factory functions as well (back up camera, steering wheel controls, etc)?

 

Can I be an honorary member of this thread?

 

What did you have to do to make the skid plate fit?

 

My truck gets very little love from me anymore, it's mainly my work truck. But I just ordered the TRD Pro grill, so maybe I'll actually wash it and give it a little love. Here's an older pic of it...

 

Pro grill is awesome. Many options I really want to do the sequoia grill and headlights on my truck

suspension height? Tire size?

 

I'm running the 5100's in the front, don't remember exactly what I have them set at and 1" blocks in the rear. Tires are BF 35x12.50R17, All-Terrain T/A KO2. Been running this setup for about six years now.

Here’s my ‘10.

 

I'm looking at a few Rock Warriors in this crazy used market (unfortunately need a truck in the next 3-4 months), and was wondering if I could get some insight on a few options:

Grey(preferred color) 2013 Double Cab with 68k miles, very clean and original owner - originally listed for 28.5k, said he would go to 27k without any negotiation. My target would be 24k at the absolute highest, and more likely I wouldn't go above 23k
White 2010 Double Cab with 112k miles, dealer inventory so not much background info - listed for 20,400
Black 2010 Double Cab with 119k miles, second owner and dealer maintained last 6 years - listed at 21,500

I don't want to low ball people, but I feel like there is no way that I can be paying much over 20k for a 10 year old truck, right? Especially with gas prices being where they are. Obviously option #1 is my preference, but I don't want to ask for 5k under what they are looking for.

I over spent to most, but I found a very clean truck and I love it and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s everything I wanted and more. It’s an older truck but it’s been tried and true. Plus I think the new one is hideous.

I would go with option 1.

 

What are the headlight BTW?

 

Just getting started with my upgrades.

 

It sucks but that is what the going rate is now. My 2012 RWCM only has 75k on it. My local Toyota dealer was offering to buy my truck for $26k a few months ago. I turned them down b/c I wasn't going to turn around and spend $60k+ on a new truck. The truck market will stay high for a bit longer but if gas prices don't come down soon, the bottom will fall out of the truck market like it did last time gas was over $4/gal. If you can hold off buying a bit longer, I would.

 

Like some I was in a situation that I had to buy. For reference, mine was a one owner ‘10 Crewmax RW with 74k on it. Got it for 24.5k.
