    Just talked with Brian at Lil B's. He's at $800 for raw sliders that would need welded on. If he had them powdercoated it's $250 more.

    I'm pretty sure that's a pic of White Knuckles on a Tundra. Yeah, those carriage bolts would be way better but how would you screw in the last 1/2"? I think I would just have them welded on rather than having those bolts exposed.

    I was planning on replacing bolts like that with a grade 8 carriage bolt, if possible, to help alleviate that. Looks like your SDHQ's have held up well!

    As far as the welds, they're pretty critical on chromoly. I appreciate the input, but I'll wait for @sdhq_offroad to reply.

    The bolt on option is nice and I get not wanting to weld especially on a new truck but in the end if you have to drill holes it's all the same to me. May as well have the strength of welding.

    Do any adjustments need to be made to the 38 gallon fuel tank when getting sliders? I looked under there the other day and it seems like the fuel tank hangs lower than the chassis frame on either side.

    Is that your truck? Any chance you could post some shots from underneath? I'm definitely interested. Price is right for sure. I didn't really want to go with weld-on, but for the price difference I can deal.

    I just bought the Smittybilt 616845 M1 Sliders. Has anybody has any experience with these? I'm going to be installing these tomorrow. Any heads up would be appreciated.

    He quoted me $600 otd for sliders with top plate painted and welded on.

    His Craigslist listing is in this thread and he's quick to respond to questions.

    Just wanted to give my 2 cents/experience about White Knuckle sliders. They have been around quite a while with a proven reputation of quality and durability whether bolted or welded on. The hardware on the bottom part of the slider/frame has proven to be a non-issue. I personally like the fact that the bolt on’s are bolted to two sides of the frame for more support. Just weld your sliders on, that’s the way to go for the most strength in my opinion.
    I have no connection to White Knuckle but have there sliders on my truck and had a great customer experience when purchasing mine

    I had issues and called Smittybilt. They do not fit a Tundra with the 38 gallon gas tank. :(

    @Biff_Elwood @Grey Wolf

    Went over and met Loren @ First Choice Fab last night, good guy and knows his way around a welder for sure. He only had his Blazer there to show me, it had full armor on it and it was really beefy. Needless to say I gave him some money to get started on mine. He's really quick, going to be about a week turnaround and a quick apt. to weld them on. Can't wait to see how they turn out!

    If these go well I'm going to have him do front and rear, pre-runner style/minimalist bumpers.
