I don't know if I like the "PP" stamp. My boy is going to have fun with that one.

+1 on the hybrid sliders. Plus I was surprised with about a 1 week lead time when I ordered them. Pelfreybilt is another option, I think he's doing Tundra sliders now. I loved the ones I had on my Tacoma.

Any of yall had experience with the N-fab RKR rails? Those look multi-purposeful.

I don't have experience with them, but I have read they are not as strong as they claim and shouldn't be trusted as a true slider.

hey @matluth  maybe we could tag team this guy into giving us a lil x2 discount? we've got the same exact truck. I've contacted him in the past and he seemed cool and his work looks top notch too. sliders were around 450 from him when i asked in December. I've just been saving and i'm about ready to jump. I'm up in Westminster, lmk.

    check out his work

I called him once but never got the chance to head over to his shop. His sliders appear to be as tough as SLEE and not as pricey. Some of the High Profile sliders I see posted here look nice but have some pretty chintzy mounting compared to others. SDHQ comes to mind first. My Body Armor Rock "Steps" have beefier mounts. I would like to upgrade to sliders at some point. Guess it couldn't hurt to check it out. $450??? Bonus coming up in May. SPC uca's top my list but there will be funds left...Hmmm...

yeah man, he told me he just takes 150 up front for materials and then the rest later. seemed like a good guy on the phone. Maybe I'll go down and talk to him and let him know we've got a few guys interested to see what he'd do

based on his pictures in his ad , i wouldn't mind him going crazy on my truck and doing tubed bumpers as well...

I'm in the process of working with Lil B's fabrication in Englewood for slider design & fitment as well as a bed rack. Maybe even some bumpers if the truck continues in that build direction. It's going in tomorrow to get fitted. He already makes some awesome looking stuff for Lexus GX, Expeditions and Zr2s. Check his web page. Here's a pic of what we're working on.

Tough choice between the .188 White Knuckle's and 4130 chromoly SDHQ's. Both have kickers, both strong as hell, both look good. I think what it comes down to is processing and welding since chromoly is MUCH less forgiving. Anyone with the SDHQ's actually put them to the test? @sdhq_offroad do you all have any manufacturing/testing videos for these, how long has the person welding these been working with 4130 chromoly and is it processed via DOM?

Honestly, we haven't talked through price yet. His GX470 sliders list for $799 and are quite a bit more involved. Here's a pic of them as well. I'm having the trucks welded on and he's said if you can bend them, I'll replace them. He was mainly building crawler and buggy stuff but after talking with him I think the expo style stuff has peaked his interest. They just added a new plasma table to expedite the process. The sliders are getting fitted now and then sent to powdercoat. I'll keep you updated.

Quality is second to none. I've never read a bad review. Only complaint that you'll ever see is mounting and that's really on the DC.. and its not that bad honestly. As far as the welds... not an issue that could concern you. When i took mine to PC, he was like, never in my 15 years have I seen this kind of quality in a weld. He had nothing but good things to say and he knows nothing about the company. My latest experience there and seeing their shop and how it operates, leaves zero concern of lack of quality in their products. @sdhq_offroad all day long.

I went with SDHQ as well. They bolt on directly to stock holes and strong as hell. I’ve lifted the truck from them this weekend to install shims and shackles. The only complain I have with the sliders are their logo that they riveted in. From day 2 they rusted and bleed rust all over driveway. Tried painting them after cleaning them and the rust comes right through it within a day or two. Wish they did not put it on there cause it’s just rusting away and is an eye sore. Sucks too cause other that that they’re awesome.

I wouldn’t worry about the welds or strength on neither. They’re both really solid. But if you’re really going to use your sliders, one very important factor is the mount. Sdhq’s wraps around the frame with a smooth underside.
    1556C376-BC90-4142-AA34-8535C5FCFD56.jpg

Most of the sliders that have to be drilled into the frame have bolts that have to be drilled in from the bottom. That’ll leave exposed bolt heads on the bottom of the frame.
    AA6BBECA-92CC-4E95-BB62-1183BBBC3F21.jpg

Anyone who’s on their sliders a lot will tell you you’re actually on the frame as much as you’re actually on your sliders. Those bolts will eventually be sheared off.
