That tundra is looking BA my friend. QS is the best. Are your bumper caps painted, wraped, or coated?

'Hood looks goooooood!! Your ride was already BA, but that hood sets it off!

As far as functionality, S&B and K&N make the most "open" filter assembly.

I seriously looked into the RK Sport and Amerihood...just never did make up my mind.

Are you going to cut open and make use of the vents? If so, just a thought.... I would check out the measurements on your choice of CAI first.
With the pass side vent being so close to the air feed, water would (possibly) be able to drip on the filter, or in the filter box.

I’m back and forth... just on the wash i have water exiting thru two tiny holes at the front of the hood which is better than thru the scoop but stil kind of annoying.

I’m looking at the S&B but might just leave it closed up top but with the side open..

    Decisions decisions

I don't think you can go wrong with the S&B.
    Here's another thought...
The S&B comes with a plexiglass top, which you can take completely off. Or... just cut open enough of a opening that matches up to the air scoop exit.
I would send you the measurements for the S&B box dimensions, from the front and side of the engine bay. But they changed their design of the box recently. Try searching on here...seems like I remember seeing someone add the new designed one recently.

Yep! It really looks like they just chopped a corner. I've checked the specs and the filter and intake tube are the same dimensions, so I don't think total airflow capacity really changed.

I've wondered if there's any sound difference between the designs? I'll take the top off some during the colder months just for a little extra growl.
Few months back I had it off and had a guy ask me at a stop light what was under the hood. My response...."A beast!"

I would like to have, but I called S&B I'd have to pay full price of new one, then send back just the tube, that's all they want, and S&B will reimburse you

I have the oil, but also purchased an extra filter so when I clean dirty one, the other is clean oiled n ready for install instead of having to wait for dirty one to dry

I’d greatly appreciate that! I’m really tempted to order as soon as i get a response from them. I read that they were sending out older versions til they were gone u less you requested the new design.

IMO, with any possibility of moisture getting to it, I'd go with the oiled. If you're used the them, then I'm sure you know the trick is, just don't over oil.

That is correct. I had to call and explicitly request the new design. The phone op had no idea what I was talking about so I asked her to put me on hold and talk to someone there who know want I was referring to. Came back very pleasant and said she understood and marked the sale for the new design. BTW, they kept the same part number, so a verbal confirmation is important.

Sounds good. OR.... I can test fit it for you by you shipping me your hood. Make sure you paint it MGM first just to protect your QS paint from any shipping mishaps :D

So i want to know how much you like and feel/see a difference with it.

I have a DAP tune and did it with the AFE drop in... just not sure if I’d see or feel any difference with the CAI!

But i REALLY WANT IT!! Lol
