Was scrolling through their website. Admittedly Im a little enamored with what they've created and often check in for updates.
Anyway, they have a ton of jobs ( 1600+ ) with some intriguing openings. Of course, I don't have any knowledge of most of it, except maybe the customer delivery specialist.
But if youre versed in engineering, software, accounting, HR, there might be something for you in a location near you. No pay is listed.....

My company’s product is installed in their Notmal Illinois plant. They’ve been very secretive and it’s been hard for my coworkers to get into the old Mitsubishi plant they took over.

I’ve been drooling over their SUV!

I was actually considering getting one, until i found out that they are letting ford screw it up. This will turn off a lot of potential buyers...Your perspective was unique enough, you would have made it on your own..stupid move Rivian !!!!!

I don't know how much Ford is contributing into the vehicle. Sourced from Motortrend articles I do know Rivian was going to build an Electric Navigator for Ford. Rivian was going to provide them a platform and vehicle and Ford would provide Rivian with Electrical systems and infotainment/Audio.

    - So far Rivian and Ford scrapped this plan.
    - Rivian is not building them a vehicle.
    - They partnered with Meridian Audio.
-Rivian did help Ford with battery technology (probably for their E-Mustang and F150 debut)

There is probably a lot more to it, but I would imagine Ford has a lot more to offer in scaling production, assembly lines , and processing than anything. Rivian has seemed to figure out their own way, sourcing , and technology.

You’re silly. Rivian would not exist without Ford’s investments. While the Rivian is pretty cool it will not be around for the long run.
Ford will be here far longer than Rivian will.

It’s always funny to see folks bash Ford and GM. They have been around a very long time for a reason and it is not because they are crap.
I have nearly a million miles on all my Ford’s combined and only had 2 major issues.
1st blew a T5 transmission in my first Mustang but considering no less than 15 people learned to drive a stick on that transmission and well I drove that Mustang like the 16-18 year old I was before it blew it did very well.
2nd was the master cylinder and brake booster in my Expedition. This granted should never have happened at 40k miles I agree. Same issue as the recall on the F150s but not recalled or covered on the Expeditions.

First off, I'm not silly, just factual. Sorry but ford is absolute junk. case in point 2001 mazda tribute transmission and master cylinder leaking at 33,0000 transmission starts leaking again few hundred miles later. instrument cluster burned out 38000 miles .starter alternator both gone 42000 and 47000 miles, fuel pump at 70000 4 of 6 coils bad all replaced at 70000 ish. massive leak in a pillar drivers side causing all sorts of issues with corrosion in fuse box. this is just the shit i can remember. ready for scrapyard not even 82000 miles on it...tell me again how ford is so good ????

2003 toyota camry 286000 miles only thing I've replaced is the alternator and the bushings for the lower control arms....never carried tools in camry. always had a full complement in tribute. Reliable pos

I think the Rivian looks cool and wouldn’t mind owning one. I looked at their website yesterday and saw what they are charging for it. There’s no way in hell I’d pay that price.

Not factual, anecdotal. There is a difference. You gave a single example of a MAZDA which is technically a Ford in some ways.

I already anecdotally explained that over the last 23 years I have owned 7 Fords and have nearly 1 MILLION miles combined with them and had 2 failures of any serious note. 1 of which is fully understandable the 2nd of which should have not have happened everything else was simple routine maintenance.
That only accounts for my personal vehicles. I have had a 4 Ford company cars for the last 15 years and probably around 250k-300k miles on by me and then passed to the next guy. And I I beat the absolute piss out of the company cars and have only lost one transmission.
Then we can go on to the Yellow Cabs in New York and the billions of miles on Crown Vics in NYC alone.

So yes, your comment is silly and that is likely an understatement. You had bad luck with a Ford Subsidiary and that sucks.
But factually Ford is not junk. Like any automaker they have had some issues but you aren’t a sales leader year in and year out if you are crap. Factually it just does not happen.
You got a crap Tribute! Toyota’s are fantastic but not infallible either.
Cam Tower leaks, Injection pumps, AHC is a nightmare as they age. The list is there and goes on.

Factually and statistically Ford is far from junk. Are they the best automaker arguably not but factually they aren’t junk.
