I'm going to get on the light rail for free and if I get stopped, I'll just bust out my registration cost receipt in their face like BAM!

For my 2017 Tundra here in the free state of Bamaland, in a relatively urban county, I paid $264.32 for the twelve month year.

Gas, 87 with corn, is about $2.55/gallon.

Na, you're good, just some of the comments by others were pushing the political line a bit too much.

By the way, our registration here in AZ is based on value, so when I bought my 2014 it was around $650+ ish. Now that my truck is 11 years old, it's down to about $140.

I'm in "Central Texas" as well, and with military "valor" plates, my registration is practically free; something like $10 for the paperwork.

Mine is around $225 a year, but I have personal plates..
They got rid of the $25 inspection in Texas, unless you live in a very populated county, and I do..

Vanity fire fighter plates are more. You are correct on the $151 on passenger tags. If your Tundra does not have B truck plates as many do not then the $151 makes sense.

    The $170 was a ballpark.

Yep, no more state inspections, VW has a Purple Heart plate, truck has a disabled vet plate. $3/yr for the VW, $10.50/ yr for the truck. Used to have a DFC plate on the truck, free registration. But for the $10.50/yr the DV plate gets me free travel on the state's toll roads.

Fortunately I have had good health and the Air Force didn't wreak havoc on my body, so my very limited disability rating precludes a DV plate. That's OK; I'm blessed with the status I have!! Thanks for your service Mike!!! DFC deserves recognition! Not certain, but I believe you can get a combination of DFC and DV on the same plate. (Just confirmed with a friend: he has Bronze Star, DV and "handicap/wheelchair" on his TX tag.)

Missouri. Service connected disabled, vanity tag is FREE for one vehicle (my Tundra). Normally, it would have been $38.25 annually. My wife's car is $21.25 annually or $42.50 for 2-years.

AZ varies an insane amount. When the Tundra was new, it was like $900/year. When I last did the Sequoia, I think I paid $120 for 5 years.

As soon as you get that place in Oracle you'll get the 5-year option. No more emissions tests!

Might be going a little farther Southeast. But we'll see how it plays out.

Yessir, thank you. I do have the DFC on my DV plate. Top of plate says "Disabled veteran" Bottom of plate says "Distinguished Flying Cross with Valor"

I've had a few issues contributed to agent orange. But I, too, am blessed not to be as messed up as some of my buddies from Nam.
