Probably 85% reason why I parted with my first rack and got the BAMF one  I love having full use of the rear window

Nah. Just gonna cut it from the mounting plates so I’ll be able to reuse those lol. So. Yeah kinda haha. But it should be bad. It was hard to make the hinged rack. This one won’t hinge. Should be easy. Will still be pretty low, but 6 in higher

Alright, so ended up changing up my bed rack. Originally, the thought was to keep it as low as possible and have it hinge for bed access. In practice, it really wasn’t going to make getting things out that much easier and I had a lot of details to finish up. Ended up scratching that and just went ahead and whipped up a simple rack today. Not much taller, but makes it easier to access the bed, while still keeping the tent low.

Ps. How do you load your tent :p

    Thanks pat!

Yeah I just wanted to keep it simple, but had to make it somehwhat hard. Matched the angle of the cab with the kickers off the bed sides. Makes it look bett imo then just tunes sitting at 90 degrees off the bed side. Can’t really tell in the pictures I suppose though.

Did you design that rack on your own? (I don't think I've seen it before)

Great job! Does it only attach to the bed rails or also the pocket holes?

Just the bed rails. I used angle at all 4 corners. Each of those angles has 2 bolts that go into the bed rails. So a total of 8 bolts.

No need to attach it to the pocket holes IMO

OP slightly updated. Just finishing up some details with the RTT setup this weekend and that portion will be done.

Probably going to go ahead and pick up new rear shocks this weekend as well. New leafs will come after that most likely.

Went ahead and bought and installed some rear fox 2.5” with resi’s and DSC to match the front. Install was super easy (legitimately took me 40 mins from start to torquing the lugs back on).

Not too much to say about this. 4 Bolts, rear shocks, blah blah blah. Guess we will just have to see how they preform!

Couple of pictures from Sedona this weekend. Truck did great, but sliders are definitely on the list.

Been an uneventful past couple weeks as far as the truck goes. Hopefully get some goodies going soon though.

Currently battling back problems (I’m 24 this fu*king sucks) and have barely been able to move.

Would like to get the sway bar off and start looking at some leaf springs here shortly.

Not much to update on the truck. Picked up a powertank off Craigslist today for a STEAL. Color is not ideal, but talking to powertank I am good to paint it, and they will send me all new stickers for the tank.

    8FED69DF-2D16-4A8E-BD49-1865ECA98B41.jpg

Also picked up some vinyl to wrap some of the interior chrome (ac vents, cup holder surround and maybe some other things). It will be my first time wrapping so we will see how it goes.

Hoping to get some lights on the truck soon, but have a bunch of vacations to pay for which is an okay trade off :D

Got the powertank all taken care of, no more purple. Couple coats of Steel-it and some new stickers from powertank and she’s ready to go!
