my thoughts exactly! i went with the squadron sports and i'm going to mount them on my bed rack like Mark did. I want them up and out of the way, but not above the rack like i've seen some guys do. You'll see what i end up doing, it'll be a little different than Mark (maybe not).

Those will be sweet. I really want some squadrons flush mounted to my rear bumper caps.. one day I will tackle that.

I wanted to follow up with a little bit more information on the recommended lights. For bumper mounted reverse applications the Wide Cornering pattern offers the most usable light. If these are mounted to a roof rack or bedrack the Work/Scene pattern offers more usable light. Please keep this in mind when ordering. Thanks everyone!

Thanks to Bailey for clearing this up for me and pointing me in the right direction.

FYI....he sent me a message, called, and emailed me to gain approval to fix my order rather than leave me stranded with inappropriate lighting prior to announcing this. True professionalism!!!!!!

I know this wouldn't work for your application, since it would hang too low for off roading, but does anyone have a hitch-mounted LED to help with reverse lighting?

Oh, I know you decided on the Baja Designs lights. I was just asking in this thread since it was about reverse lighting. I was just curious if anyone was running anything here that just hooked into the hitch without having to attach to the bumper. Also didn't know if they made a type that would hook into the trailer harness without having to cut into the wiring.

Oh, gotcha. Yes, there is a way to plug in but I don't know where I saw it. There is also a wrap around the hutch mount that I saw on Amazon. Maybe start there. I'm sure you'll find it

Yeah, yeah, yeah!!! This is your answer to tapping in.

For the wrap around hitch mount I was talking about this would compliment it perfectly.

I did something similar but a whole lot cheaper and installed myself. I used low profile 4" single row LEDs. I wired in to reverse light circuit. With LEDs in the cargo light I have all the light I need behind the truck. If I really need the reverse lights on I can engage the parking brake and with key on but without motor running put shifter in reverse. I have LEDs in the taillight and they are ok but do not meet my needs for backup lighting.

Not sure why you couldn't just use an inline splice? That is what I did when I hooked up my single row LEDs under the bumper.

Well, I can read into his posts enough to tell he is extremely sarcastic. But I think I already irritated him asking questions in this thread after his problem was solved, so I don't want to push my luck.:boink:
