I searched the forum, and there are so many retrofit threads, it's hard to find everything I'm looking for, so I'm hoping this thread will be of some help. I've sent @eledobleu a PM, but in the meantime...

    First the question:
I am probably in the minority here, but I prefer the look of the factory amber DRL over LED strips, halos, etc. Because of this, I've ruled out 2018 OEM. If I were to do a retrofit and keep the factory amber DRL, does the DRL/flasher reflector bowl need to remain chrome, i.e., TRD Pro lights?

    Picture request:
I'm looking for pictures of either retrofits that kept the TRD Pro look (not sure how chrome projectors would look) and "triple black" (if I don't have to retain chrome reflector bowl) retros on a MGM (not sure how all black lights look on MGM)

If you keep your amber DRL I would keep the DRL bowl chrome to reflect the light for safety, etc. I kept my DRL reflector as is, but did everything else black.

@MotoTundra , thank you! That's perfect, all black and just leave the DRL reflector chrome. That's what I need to do.

I painted my drl reflector bowl black. The stock amber halogen is plenty strong for enough amber to shine through. I did use a semi-gloss black paint that probably aids reflection vs just a flat black though.
