Well my LED Shroud on my retrofit shit out on me again. This time it's the drivers side after I've already had to have the passenger side replaced. I've had these lights less than a year. Anyone else having these kinds of problems? Starting to get real annoying that you pay this much for lights only for them to keep going out. Little frustrated...

Wes, I'm sorry to hear about your shroud. One would think they would last a lot longer than they have. If I recall correctly you wired yours to come on whenever you start your Tundra ... I wired mine to the parking lights so they aren't always on. I would expect that means I should have at least twice as much life or more on mine. Have you spoke with Leo about this?

Based on what he's said, these should last a long time. I'm not getting anything close to it and tired of shipping lights back and forth.

I've not texted him yet today but I'm about to. At this point, i wish I could just get my money back. Love the look and output, but not worth having to ship a headlight back every few months.

Yeah I can understand your frustration. Shipping them back and forth and having your truck without a headlamp sucks. Is there anyway possible its just a loose wire? If not, hopefully Leo can do something to make things right and more convenient for you.

Dont think it's a loose wire, at least not one that I can fix. The bottom LED bar works fine and they are wired in together, so it's just the shroud part. I dont get it.

wow that sucks maybe just sell them and wait for the 2018s they look nice and should last along time that was one thing that kept me from buying retrofits I just didn't think the price would out weigh the problems I have had spyders for over a year now and no issues

I got mine in December, so not even a year yet. They first came in damaged, not anyone's fault but UPS. Then I couldn't get the brights to come on one side, but was able to fix that. After that the shroud went out, got it fixed, and now the other side shroud is out. Blah..

Got it from Leo at Retrofit Wholesale. I think I just got a bad batch of that led shroud. Never seen anyone else have the problems that I have, so just my luck.

When I first got them, the high bright on one didn't work. I fixed that. Then the led shroud went out on that same one. Sent it back and got it fixed. Now the other side is doing the same. Now I have to pull it out and send it off to get fixed. Sucks, but o'well, at least they are under warranty.

    What brand are those LED's?

I intentionally kept mine simple when I did them so I wouldn't have little issues. The more gadgets the more potential for problems.

I will say after opening the stock headlights once there is no more permaseal, it would probably be easy to open them up yourself and fix it instead of paying all the shipping, etc.

I've had mine since December as well and so far no functionality issues (knock on wood). Again don't know if that's because I wired mine up differently so less hours of usage. Had Spyders (still have them as back ups) but found the retros function so much better so never even considered switching back over.
