It has come to my attention that some retrofits could possibly have some of the paint sticking to the top of the lens. This seems to effect those with custom paint and only effects the top part of the bezel. The paint usually sticks to the top of the bezel before it can fully cure (2-3 months).

    CAUSE
When the lights are on (HID's only) for extended periods of time (2+ hours or so), the heat from the HID bulb expands the aluminum bezel which allows it to touch the top corner area of the lens. The paint usually sticks to the top corner of the lens due to this.

This DOES NOT effect a bezel that either has the ORIGINAL CHROME, or TRD PRO BEZEL (GLOSS BLACK FROM FACTORY)

    SOLUTION
The solution is to tint the top part of the lens so it's not visible. The technique that I use will allow the tint to come out clean and smooth with a mirror gloss finish. Once completed the tint blends in perfectly with the black bezel and most wont even notice!

    AVOIDANCE
There is no way to avoid this except using TRD PRO lights, or leaving the bezel chrome. This two options are not effected. The TRD PRO lights are painted Gloss Black from the factory and is already cured. Though both the Chrome and TRD PRO Black bezel may touch the top of the lens during extended use, no paint sticking or issues will occur to the bezel or lens.

    IMPORTANT!

If you still chose to have custom paint done (flat black, satin, matte, color match etc.) on the bezel, I will send the lights back to you with the tint already applied to the top of the bezel. Tint can easily be removed with alcohol, brake cleaner etc. It wont damage the lens.

If you are experiencing this issue, please send back to me to apply the tint, or contact me for instructions on how to do it yourself.
