I have waited a very long time for this car to run again!! I vow she'll never sit idle again so long as I can help it!!

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
    ‘85 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

    To many memories to count...
Timing was NEVER on with the damn thing, and Pops put (4) alternators in it... but it it was fun.
The back seat would pull up and the body had a natural tub shape, with a surprising large drain hole....my first cooler!
That damn thing toted many’a beers to some remote fields and backwoods parties!

The Nova is really starting to come together. Just need to button up a few loose ends!! The parts list is shrinking everyday, and she'll be back in the road shortly!!

1964 Dodge Dart with a blown up 340 in it. Dad made me pull a 318 out of his friends 1976 aspen. We removed all smog accessories minus the EGR I believe. I can’t remember if it was plug and play but it was close. It had 4 on the floor and posi-traction. It was red and is now floating around San Diego somewhere. I remember the z bar for the clutch being the hardest thing to install. Dang. The 340 is still sitting in my dads garage. I’ll always remember it because it had this bar that went from the block to the frame so the motor didn’t rock during acceleration.

Thanks for the kind words! At that moment, no it wouldn't you are correct. After some carb adjustments we did get it running with a somewhat smooth idle on its own, however I need to put the timing light on it again and nail down the timing. It's currently sitting at about 1,000 RPM and 4 degrees advanced at idle. She's getting there!

I had a 99 Corolla as my first car took care of it as if it where a gtr.. was planning on new paint job rims and pimp it out after high school....i got denied from CSULA for some bullshit reason and my folks said I couldn't fix it up no-more ( w my own cash and labor:confused:)...i still drove it beat up ...bought a cbr f4i and my little bro drove the Corolla crashed it twice...i replaced the rack and pinion, wheel hubs, axels , tie rod ends, new hood and all work done at home ...fucken guy crashes again and corolla is gone . 350k+ so I stuck to Toyota..from 16 Tacoma to 17 Tacoma and now my final possession 19 Tundra

My first car was a 79 Mustang. But it was not a 4.9L, just the sad 2.3L. My mom bought if for me for a Xmas present. I think she paid $200 from a co worker. It was rough but actually ran pretty good. I waited until June to actually drive it, it got me to my job for about a month. After work one evening, a tourist from the mid west in a large full size van sideswiped it. The body and paint damage exceeded the value of the car. I think we settled with the insurance for around $1000. That allowed me to move on to my next vehicle.....

7 Once.jpg I was in the military working the night shift ~ my compadre, George, gave me a ride to the shop this night. We pulled up behind a co-worker at a stop sign. George had a hand held spotlight with a red lens plugged into his cigarette lighter on the dash. George "Red Lighted" our co-worker and Marcus pulled off the road and into a parking lot expecting a citation for something. We just drove off to work and left him there ~ never did stop. A few minutes later Marcus walked into the shop and we all had a good laugh at his expense after telling him the story of what we had done.
I suspect there'd be hell to pay if you were ever caught on the road with a set of cop car lights installed on your ride . . .
