I am looking at putting in the adjustable Bilstien shocks in the future and wondering if I should look at coils as well. I don't want a lift I just want to get it up a little more level is all.

Of all the research I've done the 5100's are perfect for what you want no coils nessecary. When I replace mine I'll use the 5100's

Well, after doing a garage lift of 1" with the floor jack to look at it I think the 5100 models would be the route. I will put them on my wish list and also get ball joints, from Toyota, and some other parts to do a the same time.

    Thanks.

I am very happy with the 5100's at the middle setting. I don't plan on doing any off-roading so they are perfect for my use. if I were to do a lot of off-roading, I would have gone with the 6112's that come with a coil.

A warning, if the shocks have been replaced before with a quick strut type assembly the springs may not fit the 5100's.

My truck had Monroe's on it and the springs would not fit the lower pad at all.

I'm in the same boat, and since I rarely get off the highway (well worn dirt paths, and some camping on family property) I am looking at the Monroe's. I can do all four corners on my 2011 for about $270 from Rock.

I put on the 6112s upfront, I plan on soon putting 5110’s on the back. I love the 6112’s

Do the 6112’s you won’t regret it! I set mine at 1.9” (3rd setting) and it’s a HUGE improvement over the stock black shocks.
