    Hey guys when my catalytic converters got stolen they knicked my transmission cooling hose and I am wanting to replace it for piece of mind. Does anyone know what part number this is ? I asked Toyota to do it and they wanted $200 to replace it I said $200 for an 8” piece of rubber hose that will literally take you 10 minutes to change absolutely not!!! Long story short is I want to change this out before I install my vahalla shield I received today. Thanks for your help!

    mid you zoom In you can see where they knicked the hose. It’s been that way for about 3 months now but it’s one of those things that constantly gets me thinking if it may fail so I just want to get it replaced.

    Not to thread jack, but seems like OP got his answer;

    what exactly does this ‘oil cooler’ do? I know it’s not a trans cooler, but what does it do exactly?

    It is a transmission cooler with a thermostat. Fortunately my year came with the transmission cooler, but the newer ones don’t. I can’t quite remember the cutoff year

    Technically its more a warmer, although it will do some cooling as well. The actual cooler thermostat is between the transmission and the "puck" that the cat thief nicked the engine coolant line to.

    I see that but for some reason when I put that part number in it results in a hose for a Toyota Corolla
