FCF0BA77-0228-4CBF-B9FA-7C9D12A4BA34.jpg I have been watching YouTube videos from last 2-3 months to learn how to replace headlights bulb. And they all talks about remove Grill and blah blah. I was not feeling comfortable to do that because of TSS sensor in grill. If you mess up with it then tons of lights turns on. Then I saw somebody comment to one of those videos about fender liner in owners manual. I checked the manual and it says you just need to remove Fender liner to replace headlight bulb. Finally I am going to replace my yellow headlight bulb and update you☺️

Sounds like a great alternative. But just a heads up the TSS is pretty hard to mess up I have removed my grill and moved and unplugged my TSS and never had any issues. If people are they are dropping it or something crazy I would imagine.

Yes, i prefer to remove 4-5 screws and remove fender liner instead of removing grill and tons of other things before accessing to headlight.

    Function before sparkle.
Very easy to break. In fact a have the replacement piece sitting in my console after breaking one earlier this week. $40 CAD from the local dealer!

I just went through this with my 2019. I wanted to change side marker lights to LED and went with what the owners manual said, through the fender well. When I got to the right side I discovered what appears to be a filter system for the A.I.R. system blocking access. Neither me nor my wife could get to the plug. I could see it, just couldn't access it. I admit we're older and I have limited strength and feeling in my hands due to CMT. I put it back together and a couple of days later I pulled the grill and headlight. 35-40 minutes taking my time and it was done. I think going in through the grill is much easier access, although more fasteners and one plug to the sensor in the grill.

Looks like i will be installing new bulbs this weekend.

I previously tried the grill removal and that was a no-go.
Couldnt get the grill to release, so i just paid a shop to it.

Cant imagine its that difficult and i surely dont want to pay a shop to do it again.

You can pull the grill and headlights and put it back together in less than 15 minutes.
There is no way I'd blindly search, beat up my knuckles, and feel my way through that fender liner opening..

2 screws and 2 clips, the grille pulls right off, don't be afraid of it.
2 screws from the fender liner and a couple more clips removes the extension panel.
2 screws on top and a side bolt pull the headlight out.
Change your bulbs, I'd replace all of them, and put It back together..

I just did the LED headlight swap and was a little aprehesive about removing the grill, etc. Turns out, it really isn't a big deal at all and the improved performance and appearance are well worth the small effort. Also took the opportunity to plastidip/spray can the chrome bumper ends as a trial before spending $$ on bumpershellz.

I was able to get a great deal on a used set from a sport trim through the marketplace on this site.

Thru the fender liner is a bunch of crap. Still couldn't reach the bulbs. Ended up pulling grill since I could easily reach the lower grill tabs and press them down. Grill popped right off. Changed out the fogs since one was out anyway. Good times...

I just replaced both headlight bulbs on my 2015 Tundra TRD. For the first replacement I used the fender well access and it was a very tight fit to reach the bulb, remove the components and reassemble them. I was able to get it done but it was a PITA job. For the second one I removed the grill and side panel as shown in the video above. For me it was a way easier way to get to the headlights and if I had done this the first time I could have changed both at once. It's fairly easy to remove the parts with this video for a guide and then put it all back in place. All you need is a 10 mm socket and a small flat head screwdriver for tools. I don't have the TSS sensor so that probably made it a lot easier.
