I just posted above. I am running a near identical setup as what you are about to install. I am very pleased with the performance of my deaver u748's

You'll be fine at 2" of lift in the rear. You'll just have slightly less suspension droop, but unless you plan on fully articulating the rear suspension frequently, I don't think it'll cause any issues. I'm at 3" of rear lift and technically I should have longer shocks than what Dobinsons provides. But I'm not rock crawling any time soon so it will be fine.

As others have stated, Deaver and Alcan are both good options too, just a bit more expensive. Also, a 2" lift, if you lift the front up 1.9" would be nearly perfect. I don't like the perfectly leveled look anyway, and it's not functional especially when you tow a lot like many of us do. I lifted mine 3.5" up front, and 3" in the back. To me, it's perfect. The truck still has some rake, the leaf springs that can actually handle some weight, and it doesn't squat like it's anal glands are swollen lol when I have an enclosed trailer hooked up lol.

Thank you. I’m about to hit Pay Now on their scratch and dent standard springs. Crazy good price. I was back and forth on the HD’s but with the scratch and dent set they had available it made my choice for me.

Just make sure they are the L59-120-R springs!! They carry a few different ones.

I checked and re-checked, then checked again after your post, they are. Found them by happy accident. Bushings are on backorder though, seemingly everywhere.

Nice!! You can probably find bushings elsewhere if needed. I think Ironman 4x4 has a set that should work just fine if needed (link below). Just use some high quality grease (Lucas Red "N" Tacky is my personal go to).

It's great grease! Just be prepared to throw the tube away when your done. If you leave it in your grease gun it will leak red grease everywhere when it warms up. So I found out the hard way years ago. LOL.

The page states they won’t work with OEM shackles; I asked and they won’t work with Dobinsons/OEM shackles.

Thinking about these, best I’ve found so far:

Those might work?? I honestly am not 100% sure. I do see Dobinson's direct is sold out of the bushing kit like you said. However you could try to contact Main Line Overland, or Exit off-road. Exit off-roads website seems to show them on backorder, but maybe it won't take too long to get a set in. Maybe @crikeymike could help you? Even though I bought my Dobinson's kit from Main Line because they were local, Mike answered a lot of questions for me and was very helpful.

Glad to hear the U748 is working out well. I’ve got a set on order from MCM, as well as a full set of ADS fun parts and UCAs. I’ve got about 450# between ARE topper and every-day gear, and hoping for a good supportive ride.
I also have airbags, which I expect will help with towing. I just picked up a new travel trailer on Monday, so we shall see how it all works when the suspension shows up. Nothing like 3 month lead times!!!

A quick update, the Dobinsons standard pack is installed and zero complaints at all. I haven’t towed with it yet, and still plan on adding Roadmaster HD active suspension to supplement, but so far so good.

I went with the RC 3.5 kit, but made some adjustments. I have the coilovers, UCAs, diff drop kit, rear N3 shocks, ICON 1.5 inch rear leaf pack, coachbuilder +1 shackles. Love the look and feel.

I just bought a 22 Forest River 28VBXL at 6,400 lbs, but we'll see how the ICON springs fo over time.

Any updates on your final setup? I have been looking at adding RAS but wonder if it might be better to start by simply upgrading the leaf springs first.

I kicked the can down the road and I just got the RAS HD in last week from their Black Friday sale, right now it’s down a few on the list of projects I need to get done. Only hard date on the install is before I tow again, but by seat of the pants the Dobinsons themselves did better than the stock springs ever did.

I did finally get my Icon 2.5” VS CDCV remote reservoir front coil overs installed a couple weeks ago though, after a six month wait. So far I LOVE them for everyday driving but I haven’t towed with them yet. When everything settled I think I’m about the stated 1.9” lift in front and probably a little less than that in the back.

I was pleasantly surprised how much better the truck behaves on the street at high speed on bumpy sweeping turns. It’s nice when a product lives up to and even exceeds expectation! I caught myself having to slow down for safety, knowing if I popped a tire for some reason it would be a very bad day. I’m looking forward to seeing how they do both when towing and off-road, which is mostly just iffy rural roads for me. So far on bad roads it’s night and day difference from stock.

Will the RAS work with Alcans and Toytec shackles? I'll post pics tomorrow but having flat springs at 13K miles irritates me.
