Valet driver at hotel scratched my new truck...go figure. I have contacted them, but not sure how helpful they will be.
Any ideas on repairing the damage....see photos.258B63AD-329F-4F70-A293-12B8777C6D30.jpg889E76A2-C372-43BC-88CF-9269F245CAEB.jpg 7906574A-A278-4222-BAC6-08B7883A03F6.jpg

Unless you signed something that says valet not responsible for damage, I would get some money from them to help pay for the repair.

    How deep is the scratch?

@SouthBoundSteve will have some ideas on how to repair/buff that out depending on how deep the scratch is.

Long scratches on door appear to be just clear coat, the scratch in the pillar behind the door is down to metal.

Damn...they should be insured for that. Hope it works out. Let us know how it goes.

Wash then try some polish by hand. Megs 205 in the tan bottle or Walmart has some in a black bottle. If that doesn’t work then kick it to Megs 105 in the tan bottle or Megs Ultimate Compound.
You could also try some 3M polish.
Get yourself a yellow foam pad and a Microfiber pad and see which works best. Also, a good quality Microfiber towel to buff.
Finally, coat with a good wax or sealant.
You may need to escalate it depending...

If not @Darth Tundra is the paint pro....

Thanks, they have submitted it to their corporate claims department. Should know more in a day two.

Hopefully they own up to it. Its a truck, its gonna get scratched to hell and back over the next 20 years, but dammit i want to earn those scars...not the dang vallet.

Valet company and their insurance carrier have agreed to have it fixed “in their shop” or pay my deductible. Going to swing by my dealer later this week for an estimate and contact my insurance carrier and do some recon. Also requested name and info on the “shop”. Very hesitant to use them unless I can find info on their work and reputation.

Very glad the company is owning the mistake and willing to work with me.

Such a PITA but glad it's getting sorted out. Definitely research their shop. If not submit own insurance claim. Pay deductible. And let insurances fight it out. Once done should get reimbursed for deductible.
