I hate to continue the suspense but I just found out I have to run to the airport and pick up my sister in law in 30min. Wife wants me to go with her. :(:(. I don't think I will get to this until tomorrow. But I do think that I might record it for you guys. This thing might get interesting

Put the pin back in before you drive the truck. A little bad luck and it's coming loose and falling out at 60mph on the highway. I found 2 hitches laying in the road one elk hunt! Always wondered how those dummies got their trailers home lol

IMG_6976.jpg IMG_6980.jpg So I had the day off today and I was going to try to get this hitch out, but I decided to go to discount to get my air pressure checked on my tires. One thing led to another and 1hr later, I am coming out with new wheels. :):).

Awesome. Now that looks good. Don't you love it when one thing leads to another? But the hitch is still in, right? We're still getting video footage of this epic hitch removal??? Oh, and if you have any hitch questions, ask @FlashCulprit... he's an expert.

I feel like a fish on a hook. Is the hitch ever gonna make it out or is the poor tundra doomed to have it forever???

Ok. I am beating the crap out of this hitch and it does not want to come out. It will move from side to side but nothing else

First of all, don't try the tree suggestion. You're going to pull off your bumper or pull down the tree. :D I would actually remove the spare and see if you can see anything from the backside of the hole.

And I doubt wd40 will help much but it won't hurt.

Drop your spare tire then hit it from the opposite side (under the truck and interior) of the hitch slot with a pipe and hammer.

Awesome video! You're going to Spielberg out of business!

Question: if you drop the spare and use a hardwood 2x2 about 2' long, could you drive it out from behind?

Regarding your question about wd40, yes it could help but a combination of spray grease and starting fluid would put a better lubricant further into the hitch

Question: do you have a strap or come along? Back up to a post or pole and tie off to the hitch then either by driving the truck just enough to put some light pressure on or with the come along do the hammer tapping like you did in the video repeat VERY LIGHT STEADY PRESSURE WHILE TAPPING, you may need a helper
