I'm thinking of installing a remote knob for the amplifier on the face of the center console that points towards the shifter.

Is it possible to remove just the bucket of the center console without taking everything apart?

It would be right below the channel in the picture attached

Not shire you can but the console is easily removed. Search for Tundra radio removal on YouTube.

I will face the situation soon. I thought that may be able to get in there if you pull the trim piece around the shifter (haven't tried it yet).

I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove the entire console, but if that's the only way I'll do it.
