I had that issue. Incompetent tech had stripped the head . I went under the truck and aggressively heated the captive nut that the bolt went into. Was able to get them out with just vice grips. Always use heat on problems like this.

Steel pipe from the hardware store best extension ever you could also wrap some electrical tape around the handle to get it a little bit more snug further down if you need to for extra leverage.

Nope getting new ones for both back bolts. Would like to eventually take off the entire bed and do some rust corrosion prevention.

I would also use a rust penetrating fluid as well.

I was going to back mine out today to see if I could get rid of some creaking in the bed but with it covered by the spray in bed liner I’m unsure if I should touch them/break the spray in seal?

I had to do that to remove the bed. You just need to get a razor and cut around them carefully, then jab it with a pick or awl and pull it off the bolt head. It should come off clean.

Glad I asked as I was going to try the T55 and see if an impact would just break the liner once I cut around it with a blade, lol.

I don’t understand why they sprayed over it in the first place…there’s no other way to loosen/grease the bed bolts without doing the above right?

    Thanks for the advice!

Spray in Bed liner, 2-10”subs/400w.amp, tailgate shock, Tinted windows, seat covers, dash cover, CatShield, Fuel D538 20”wheels, Husky custom floor mats, TSC tool chest, leather seat covers.
if you're careful not to cut into the bed liner you can cut two straight edges on the bolt head perimeter with a grinder and cutting disc and use a crescent wrench or if you measure first, can cut to spec, say 3/4" wrench

Yeah that's the only way to take those bolts off. It's just lazy from the liner shop. They should've taken the bolts off then spray. You can keep the pieces you cut out as plugs to put back in once you're done. They come off in one piece usually and have the torx imprint on them.
