I used Plasti-Dip on mine. Just warm 'em up a bit, split them apart and paint away.

A little of this and a little of that.
White looks better on your bumper.

Don’t use plasti-dip on your headlights use VHT Nightshades. It’s a lot better stuff made for lenses. I did my tails and third brake light and they came out beautiful.

I didn't spray my lenses. I took them apart and sprayed the chrome surround. It works fine - just make sure that you let it cure completely before re-assembling so you don't get fogging. Then, if I ever want to change back, I can just take it apart and peel the plastidip off.

Spraying the lenses is frowned upon in most places. Heck, even the VHT can says it is for off-road use only.

Looks great! Out of curiosity, is there a reason you’re topping off with super white paint? Personal preference or does the white plastidip look “off” compared to the super white? I have a 17 CM in super white and was thinking of going with white plastidip on the chrome ends but wasn’t sure how well it would match up to the factory paint.

You honestly cant tell it's as close as it can getmo. Cant tell unless you are right up on it trying to find a diff. I know a couple people who just use plastidip white and it looks just fine. I'm just OCD with my truck and figure an extra 6$ to add the toyoto super white cost wouldn't hurt

Makes sense. Thanks for the info! Looks like I’ll be picking up some white plastidip in the near future ;).

The white looks WAY better. Plus, the additional white is probably good for another 6hp over the way that black was slowing you down!

Another vote for looks a hell of a lot better!

Just my opinion but black factory bumpers do not look good on anything other then a black truck. Even if I was going to do plasti-dip or bedliner or whatever, I'd pay a little more and use a color that's the same as my truck, even if its not a perfectly matching shade of that color.
